Trees

Many poems have been written about trees and just as many pictures painted of them. Trees live longer than people and they have a profound effect on human life. We depend on their various uses, yet they are at our mercy. We find meanings in them; that is why we talk of the Tree of Knowledge and rising successfully 'to the top of the tree'. Trees stand still, are blown by the wind and clearly portray the changing seasons.
