| GOODWILL ART presents PICTURES FOR SCHOOLS |
Our picture hire service introduces pupils of all ages to painting past and present. We hold a large stock of colour reproductions and a new set of pictures is hung each term, enabling many works to be seen during a school career.
Sets through the centuries (see list) follow the history of painting from the Rennaisance, with special attention paid to modern art movements. Apart from their appeal as mini-exhibitions, they are extremely useful for study.
The juxtaposition of contrasting painting styles in Sets on various themes is designed to stimulate curiousity in young viewers.
Explanatory texts for each set are supplied by a wallcard and picture labels. The pictures, drymounted and heatsealed without glass in handsome wooden frames, average 2ft by 3ft in size.

How the Pictures for Schools scheme works
The school receives a fresh set of pictures each term. We suggest ringing the changes between, the modern, old master and theme subjects. This stimulates more discussion from term to term, and ensures that a wide variety of styles is displayed.
Initially, a head or art teacher is asked to choose half a dozen sets the school would like to see in forthcoming terms. The logistics of moving the pictures make it necessary for the choice to be flexible, but with advance notice it is seldom that a school has to wait for a particular set. As an alternative, the selection of pictures c of pictures can be left to us.
Each set is accompanied by an A4 size 400-word framed wallcard, discussing why the pictures have been grouped together. A card giving further information is stapled to each picture.
We visit the school by prior arrangement to change the sets. This is done just after the end of term or shortly before the start of a new term.
The subscription to the Hire Service is £75 a term (plus VAT). There is a delivery charge of £15, £20 or £25
If your school would like to join the scheme, please contact us.
